Carol Hall started her career with the American Red Cross as a Service to Armed Forces (SAF) volunteer and Station Chairman on the Army post where her husband was assigned in Vilseck, West Germany in 1989. During their time there, Carol was recognized as the ‘Volunteer of the Year” for the post in 1990 for her many volunteer activities. Upon their return to the United States, she accepted a paid position as the Chapter Manager for the Panhandle Chapter in northern Idaho.
In December of 1998, Carol accepted a position at Red Cross national headquarters in the Disaster Services department where she developed the organization’s Weapons of Mass Destruction and Terrorism program. Over the past several years, Carol has worked as the Director for Homeland Security & Federal Coordination prior to accepting her current position as the Senior Director, Service to Military Families in the Service to Armed Forces Department, in February 2008.
Prior to joining the Red Cross, Carol served in the United States Army, first as an enlisted person and then as an officer upon graduating from the ROTC program at Florida State University. She received her commission in the Ordnance Corps and served in the Third Infantry Division.
Carol holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Government from Florida State University and a Masters of Arts degree in International Relations from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas.
Carol and her husband Dan live in Manassas, VA and have two grown daughters, Jennifer and Elizabeth.
Nichole Causey joined the USO of Metropolitan Washington a year ago as the Communication Manager. Prior to that Nichole worked in the corporate sector as a Marketing and Communication Manager. Nichole is a former Cryptologic Technician Interpretive (Spanish) in the U.S. Navy. Nichole holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from George Mason University. She lives in Ashburn, Virginia with her son Kyle.
